On November 29, "Dialogue with World Civilizations: Belt and Road International Handicraft Exhibition" was opened at the University of Johannesburg's Art Centre. The exhibition is hosted by Shanghai University and the University of Johannesburg. Minister Li Zhigang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Noting that art is the common language of the world, Minister Li said this exhibition is yet another successful example of China-South Africa cultural exchange and cooperation. China-South Africa relations are now in the “Golden Era”, and have been upgraded to an All-Round Strategic Cooperative Partnership in the New Era. Minister Li encouraged more Chinese and South African institutions to engage in cultural exchanges and cooperation under the Belt and Road framework.
