The Chinese Embassy and Consulate General in South Africa donated food parcels to KwaZulu-Natal Province

Recently, in order to help alleviate the hardship of the locals in KwaZulu-Natal Province who have been affected by the recent riots, the Chinese Embassy in South Africa and the Chinese Consulate General in Durban urgently procured 600 food parcels and delivered them to KwaZulu-Natal Province. The food parcels will be distributed to local communities in need through the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government. Entrusted by H.E. Ambassador Chen Xiaodong, the Chinese Consul General in Durban, Fei Mingxing, together with the representative of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government, attended the handover ceremony of the food parcels.

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government sincerely thanked the Chinese Embassy and Consulate General for their support and help, saying that the donation of food parcels was just in time. A friend in need is a friend indeed. The donation is a reflection of the friendship between the two countries and the two peoples and would help locals overcome difficulties. They believe that with the support of Chinese friends, the KwaZulu-Natal Province will achieve economic and social recovery and development as soon as possible. The KwaZulu-Natal Province will strengthen the protection of the security and interests of Chinese enterprises and citizens as well as create favorable conditions for their investment and business in South Africa.
