On Oct 27th, Minister Li Song of the Chinese Embassy attended the Prize-Awarding Ceremony of "China in My Eyes" Essay Contest at Johannesburg Sci-Bono Centre. The contest was held jointly by the Gauteng Department of Education and the Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Center of South Africa.

Minister Li Song congratulated all the participants and winners. He emphasized that the contest was another spotlight under the framework of the Year of China in South Africa. He encouraged the students to continue to focus the keen interest in learning Chinese and knowing more about China and become envoys of friendship between our two countries in the future.

The contest lasted over three months and covered all the major primary and secondary schools in Gauteng Province.
