On Oct 31st, the Chinese Embassy was invited to participate in the annual Diplomatic Fun Fair held by DIRCO. With the theme of "China-Africa: Together for a Better Future", the Chinese stall focused on China-South Africa and China-Africa friendship as well as FOCAC summit. Ambassador Tian Xuejun and his wife had friendly interactions with the local people.

At this year's event, the Chinese stall specially set up a photo exhibition on China-South Africa and China-Africa relations and cooperation and held a quiz game about the relevant information, which was warmly responded by the local people. Ambassador Tian and his wife presented the prizes to the winners. The Chinese stall was decorated with traditional Chinese ornaments and the staff from the Embassy gave Chinese culture performances to the local people.

At the awards ceremony held by City of Tshwane and DIRO in the evening, the Chinese Embassy was awarded OR Tamble Best Overall Stall and Most Informative Stall.

The spokesperson of the Embassy Counsellor Hu Zhangliang also gave interview to local media including SABC and the Ubuntu Radio on the upcoming FOCAC summit, the Year of China in South Africa and China-SA bilateral relations.
