Yu Zhengsheng Meets with President Michel Temer of Brazil

On September 1, 2017, Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Yu Zhengsheng met with President Michel Temer of Brazil at the Great Hall of the People.

Yu Zhengsheng said that China has always viewed and developed its relations with Brazil from a strategic and overall perspective. With the joint efforts of both sides, China-Brazil relations have witnessed steady and rapid development in recent years with communications and cooperation in various fields yielding fruitful outcomes. The CPPCC has maintained sound relations with the National Congress of Brazil for a long time. Under the new situation, the CPPCC is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the National Congress of Brazil and make greater contributions to implementing important consensus between the two heads of state, deepening bilateral political mutual trust, enhancing practical cooperation and promoting bilateral relations.

Michel Temer said that Brazil and China, as emerging markets and developing countries, share broad common interests and both countries have maintained sound cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels. Brazil welcomes China to reinforce investment in Brazil and is willing to further deepen practical cooperation with China in various fields such as economy, trade, and people-to-people and cultural engagement.
