The Chinese Embassy in South Africa Holds a Send-Off Ceremony for 2016 Chinese Government Scholarship Recipients
On August 18th, the Chinese Embassy in South Africa held a send-off ceremony for 2016 Chinese government scholarship recipients. Ambassador Tian Xuejun, Deputy Minister of the Department of Higher Education and Training Mr. Mduduzi Manana and Chief Director of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation Ambassador Genge together with 37 recipients attended the ceremony.
Ambassador Tian had a meeting with Deputy Minister Manana before the ceremony and both sides exchanged views on China-South Africa educational cooperation and exchanges.
Since its launch in 2003, the Chinese Government Scholarship has provided hundreds of South African students with opportunities to study in China.
