On 25 and 26 June, Minister Zhou Maoyi led a working group from the Chinese Embassy in South Africa to Limpopo and North West Provinces to conduct security inspections and provide on-site consular services.

Minister Zhou and the working group learned about the security measures adopted by Chinese business-owners and enterprises, how they manage employees, and how they engage with local communities. They reminded members of the Chinese community to closely monitor recent protests and demonstrations targeting foreign nationals, strengthen risk awareness, strictly comply with laws and regulations in their business operations, and further enhance security measures. They also advised that, when necessary, businesses should temporarily suspend operations to ensure the safety of employees and property. Members of the Chinese community expressed appreciation for the Embassy's guidance and support, and pledged to continue operating in compliance with laws and regulations while strengthening security precautions.

The Embassy's consular team provided on-site consular services in the two provinces. The team processed documentation applications for dozens of Chinese nationals, and offered policy consultations and consular protection guidance.
